Patyka, a French brand of 100% organic cosmetics, is a benchmark in its field.
Widely recognized on the French market, Patyka called on our agency to carry out a complete overhaul of its Shopify Plus-based e-commerce site.

Background and objectives

Patyka was faced with three major problems.

Patyka, a well-known organic skincare brand in France, was facing major challenges in managing its aging e-commerce site.
These problems were impacting not only the brand’s image, but also its operational efficiency and ability to expand internationally.
The objective was to modernize the site while simplifying its management and facilitating expansion into new markets.

Complex site management :

Excessive use of applications and a site that was difficult to customize made day-to-day site management painful and inefficient. The site didn't allow pages to be created or modified easily, limiting the brand's ability to innovate.

Aging design :

The site, designed over five years ago, no longer reflected the brand's current values and professionalism. Its dated appearance was detrimental to Patyka's brand image.

Complicated multilingual and international management :

Patyka was managing multiple Shopify instances for each language and market, resulting in duplication of effort and a lack of consistency between sites. This made it difficult to update and manage content, rendering some sites obsolete in relation to the main instance in France.

Solutions

A comprehensive e-commerce redesign strategy

To meet Patyka’s needs, we implemented a three-pronged strategy: a complete redesign, the centralization of Shopify instances for simplified management, and the development of a new Shopify theme, optimized for performance and scalability.
These solutions enabled Patyka to overcome its challenges and strengthen its online presence.

Complete redesign

We designed new layouts on Figma, adopting a "mobile first" approach. The new design is fully compatible with Shopify, enabling seamless and precise integration. The design system and digital charter have been modernized to reflect Patyka's professional image.

Shopify instance centralization

We migrated all existing instances (Spain, Italy, etc.) to a single, now international Shopify instance. Thanks to Shopify Market, we have contextualized markets, enabling Patyka to adapt content and offers to the specificities of each market, while using a single multi-currency instance.

Development of a new Shopify theme

We've developed a Shopify theme from scratch, using the latest technologies to guarantee a clean, scalable code base. With this new theme, brands can easily manage their site, create and modify pages independently, while respecting design system standards.

We created new layouts on Figma using a “mobile first” approach.
This strategy was aimed at improving the user experience on mobile, particularly for the e-commerce sector, where the majority of users access sites via their smartphones.
The design system and digital charter were completely rethought to modernize Patyka’s visual identity.

Development From Scratch

A new Shopify theme was developed from scratch specifically to meet Patyka’s needs.
We designed a new technical stack using the latest technologies, guaranteeing optimal performance and flexibility for future site evolutions.

In just a few days, we noticed that the site’s loading time had been cut in half, improving the user experience.

Multi-instance management issues

Prior to the redesign, Patyka was using multiple instances of Shopify for each marketplace, resulting in duplication of effort and inefficient content management.
Each modification had to be replicated manually on each site, making management time-consuming and error-prone.

Inconsistencies between markets: Difficulty in maintaining uniformity and constant updating across all sites.

Migration to a single instance

To solve this problem, we migrated all local instances to a single international Shopify instance.
This centralization made it easier for Patyka to manage its various markets from a single dashboard, simplifying operations.

Setting up Shopify Market

With the integration of Shopify Market, Patyka can now contextualize its offers according to markets.
It is now possible to display specific content according to region, for example, a promotion dedicated to the Spanish market visible only on the Spanish version of the site.

Activation of multilingual functionalities: Integrated support for multiple languages to reach a diverse international audience.

Contextualization of content by market: offers and marketing messages can be customized according to the cultural and commercial specificities of each region.

Simplify logistics management: centralize ordering, payment and delivery operations for greater efficiency.
